Today’s small revision of tuneR adds a scrollable table of user-assigned tags to your artists, and a plot of artists by tag sorted to show the most used tags across your top 25 artists this year. Coming soon – possibly some track-level data!

Inspired by all the enthusiasm for Spotify’s end-of-year Wrapped summaries, tuneR is my extremely rudimentary first start at my own version, done in R/Shiny. I’d love to hear if it works for you and what else would make it more fun!

I got out for another evening photo walk around downtown yesterday, and found some nice evening light.

Pizza tonight: Brussels sprouts and oyster mushrooms! This was a good one. My gluten-free toaster-oven crust continues to do All Right.

I spent a lot of this week toting my X-T30 around the house, just shooting things I liked. Then I did some cabinet cleaning and handled the old X100S for a few minutes. Wow; the X100S still feels incomparable. That viewfinder is still so beautiful to use.

Per policy, I ate the last piece of pumpkin pie for breakfast, straight from the baking dish, standing at the sink.

Also, breaking news: Tonight we made another pie.

I’m also putting together a handful of these little clicky buddies for stocking stuffers, using some spare switches and keycaps, and these adorable little keychain PCBs from keeb.io.

My annual photo gifts are complete! Cards (btw, there’s no good stock card for the mid-pandemic holiday season; “joy” seems like way more than I can hope for); calendar for my parents (I’ve been making this since 2003); and, this year, a secret new photo book for my ❤️. ✅ 📷 🍻

I’ve had this bottle of World Wide Stout in the fridge for, I think, two years. Today, puttering around in the kitchen together, seemed like a good day to crack it open. It was delicious.
