I tried out Hevy to track my workout for the first time this morning. Nice app — really flexible and easy to track with. Apparently it has some good watch functionality too.

I got out on the lake for my first quick paddle-around of the year. It was a warm and slightly breezy afternoon and a nice 30-minute session was just right.

After a busy morning on this day off – completing my taxes then getting through a challenging workout – coffee on the front porch was just right. It’s spring here, and today was warm and a bit breezy, a welcome change from late-season cold and snowy weather just a week ago.

Can confirm that getting into cool mechanical keyboards has made me at least 60% more productive, where productivity is measured in talking about mechanical keyboards in unrelated settings.

Somewhere there’s a podcaster with a six-episode series on the history of navigating canals in giant freighters whose time has absolutely fricken come.

(Where by “let’s gooooo” I mean, let’s exuberantly celebrate science, while maintaining safety and continuing to wear our masks for the benefit of our communities and those we love.)

There’s probably a pretty good talk/paper for somebody to write on the comparative trajectories of R-Help’s evolution to today’s R community, as compared to the FSF’s brief rejection and subsequent bear-hugging of RMS.
